2010 Anniversary Trip
This year, 2010, marks the sixty-fifth anniversary of the victory in the Battle of the Bulge, VE Day and the end of World War II.

Thu 16 Sept Paris - Épinal - Lunéville Visit to Épinal American Military Cemetery with wreath-laying and Taps. Épinal is the main cemetery for Alsace-Lorraine.
Fri 17 Sept Lunéville Liberation Ceremonies and Celebrations.
Sat 18 Sept Parroy Forest- Ancerviller - Frémonville - Lunéville our own Closure Ceremony in the forest for recently found remains of knocked-out M10 tank and crew of 773rd TDB supporting 79th Div in Battle of Parroy Forest (Foret De Parroy). Memorial Dedication in Ancerviller for 315th Inf Regt. Grand Celebratory Lunch. Memorial Dedication in Frémonville for 314th Inf Regt and Melvin Johnson (of renowned Private Letters of Melvin Johnson Website).
Sun 19 Sept Lunéville - Schirmeck - Struthof Camp - Niederbronn features fighting in central Vosges. Involved 3rd Div, 100th Div, 14th Armored Div. Visit to Struthof Concentration Camp, the main concentration camp of France.
Mon 20 Sept Niederbronn - Bitche - Niederbronn Features NW Alsace and 'Operation Nordwind' ('Bulge 2'). Highlights Bitche and features Rimling, Maginot Line, etc. Involved 44th, 45th, 79th, 100th Div.
Tue 21 Sept Niederbronn - Hatten/Rittershofen - Wissembourg – Niederbronn.
Features NE Alsace and 'Operation Nordwind' ('Bulge 2'). Official Reception and Lunch in Hatten commemorating the terrible Battle of Hatten and Rittershofen. Then Via Lauterbourg, Scheibenhard, Schweigen, Wissembourg, etc. Involved 42nd Div, 79th Div, 14th Armored Div.
Wed 22 Sept Niederbronn - Haguenau - Strasbourg - Karlsruhe
Features Official Ceremony and Reception in Haguenau, extended visit to Strasbourg, then battles north of Strasbourg, Drusenheim, Gambsheim, etc. Involved 79th Div, 14th Armored, 3rd Div.
Thu 23 Sept Karlsruhe - Heidelberg - Rhine Cruise with dinner - Frankfurt
Fri 24 Sept Frankfurt - USA
Patrick Hinchy, WW II historian and experienced veterans tour guide has planned and leads this tour for veterans.
